The live action original story of Disney’s infamous Crowella de Ville will air tomorrow, May 28, after simultaneous debuts in cinemas and on Disney’s premier access platform. Emma Stone stars on Disney’s animated, sometimes real, sometimes with a pack of CGI dogs. One hundred and one Dalmatians.. It was, however, set in London in the 1970s and has seen Stone with fashion icon Baroness Van Hellman. The plot deviates considerably from the original 1961, so don’t try to get Stone on DeVille just expecting a live action remake. Instead, Stone offers a clown-like spin on Disney’s infamous dog killer heavy In the taste of Og Cruella for extravagance.

The film focuses on a young girl named Estella – later known as Crowella – who became famous for her punk fashion in London in the 1970s. Along the way, she works with a pair of thieves, inexplicably developing a wicked personality, and eventually becomes a vengeful hungry lunatic with a pleasant taste in clothing. (Stone looks great throughout the movie.)

Despite the film’s nonsense, it looks like Disney is already working on the Cruila franchise. Earlier this month, Hollywood Reporter Citing sources, Stone said that he has paid eight figures for the Cruila sequel. Details about who is involved with the project and when it will be released, however, are still in the works.
