You Can Soon Book a Home Alone Home on Airbnb – NBC Chicago

For the first time ever, the popular Home Alone in Chicago’s suburb of Winnetka will be available for overnight stays on Airbnb this holiday season.

And while you don’t have to worry about sharing a bed with a fuller wet bed, you won’t get a chance to make it Each In the family—your host for the evening will be Kevin McCallister’s older brother, Buzz and the pet tarantula, according to Airbnb.

On December 12, up to four guests can enjoy a relaxing evening of holiday inside the iconic movie theatre, decked out in twinkling lights and a perfectly manicured tree — plus booby-traps worthy of wet thieves, all the ’90s junk food and your junk a yellow keister might want. (Including a cheese pizza to yourself, a candlelit dinner of highly nutritious macaroni and cheese in the microwave) and more.

You will also have the opportunity to enjoy a meet and greet with a realistic tarantula.

Reservations for an evening experience at McCallister Christmas House Open Tuesday, December 7 at 1 p.m., local COVID-19 guidelines will apply (Illinois is currently under an internal mask mandate), and guests are responsible for their travel to and from Chicago. Airbnb says it is closely monitoring Chicago’s infection rates and government policies, and will offer guests a $1,000 Airbnb travel credit if it becomes necessary to cancel a stay.
