gangster between Zayn Malik Yolanda Hadid started when the former model accidentally shared a photo of her granddaughter’s face on social media, reports say.
The Sun reported that Malik was a cross-eyed at Yolanda – the mother of his ex-partner Gigi Hadid — for sharing a photo of his one-year-old daughter Khai.
Malik, 28, and Hadid, 26, are trying to keep their child’s identity out of the spotlight, sharing only photos that partially reveal what she looks like.
Reports say Yolanda, 57, shared a photo on her social media where you can see Khai’s face in the mirror. Then the image was deleted.
An insider told The Sun: “In January, Yolanda accidentally posted a picture of Khe where you can see her face and Zayn’s madness – he’s so protective of his daughter’s privacy, he was so angry.
“Yolanda deleted it immediately but things were tense.
“Yolanda doesn’t see what the problem is, but Zayn – and Gigi – are against their baby being photographed and it was a huge cause of tension between them.”
This comes after Malik was accused of harassing the model and her mother after an alleged altercation at his Pennsylvania home.
Malik has now been charged with four counts of harassment. He pleaded guilty in front of one and did not compete with three.
Court documents seen by TMZ say the owner pushed Yolanda into a wardrobe and also described her as “f****** Dutch sl**”.
Malik vehemently denied any physical contact.
He told TMZ: “I vehemently deny hitting Yolanda Hadid and for the sake of my daughter I refuse to give any further details and I hope Yolanda reconsiders her false allegations and moves towards addressing these family issues in private.”
Hadid was reportedly in Paris during the incident, but court documents say he phoned her and said, “Hand her with some fake balls and defend your partner against your damn mother in my house.”
He also tried to fight one of his house guards, yelling at him to “get out of my house.”
An owner will face a 90-day probationary period for each charge and must complete an anger management class and a domestic violence program.
He was also prevented from speaking to Yolanda or the security guard throughout the 360-day probation period.
Malik addressed the incident in a social media post asking for privacy.
He said, “As you all know, I am a normal person and I desperately want to create a safe and private place for my daughter to grow up.
“A place where private family matters are not brought up on the world stage for everyone to snooze. In an effort to protect this space for her, I have agreed not to contest allegations arising from an altercation between me and a member of my partner’s family who entered our home while my partner had been away for several weeks.”
In an apparent reference to his split from Hadid, Malik added that he wanted to “share my daughter in a way she deserves”.
He said: “This was and should still be a private matter but at the moment there appears to be a split and despite my efforts to return us to a peaceful family environment that allows me to share with my daughter in a way he deserves, this has been ‘leaked’ to the press.
“I am hopeful though healing for all involved with the harsh words shared, and most importantly I remain vigil to protect Khai and give her the privacy she deserves.”
In a statement to E! News, the actor said, “Gigi is only focusing on what is best for Khai. She is asking for privacy during this time.”
Yolanda, a Dutch-American television personality and former model best known as the star of the American reality TV show The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills, has not publicly addressed the incident.
Yolanda is also the mother of models Bella, 25, and Anwar, 22, who is a friend of pop star Dua Lipa.
She was married to real estate developer Mohamed Hadid, 72 years old.
