ATTLEBORO (CBS) – AJ Quetta He returns to the hockey team at Bishop Feihan High School as a newbie.
Quetta, who sustained a spinal cord injury during a match earlier this year as a member of the squad, will join Shamrock as assistant coach. he is Graduation From Bishop Faihan High School last June.
“He is an amazing individual and his presence on the rink will be a driving force for our boys in their pursuit of a state title in the MIAA Division I,” Bishop Feihan High School’s hockey program said in a statement.
His primary responsibilities will be working with attackers, breaking drills, and filming the game.
Quetta was seriously injured when he hit planks during a match on January 26. He underwent spinal surgery in Atlanta and returned home to continue his recovery on the Journey Forward in Canton.
Since the injury, the local community has rallied around Quetta.

In mid-May, many local sports stars helped organize AJ Quetta Golf Invitational At the Cape Club of Sharon, all proceeds go directly to the Quetta family. Bruins legend Ray Bourque and Super Bowl champion Teddy Bruschi were among the many big names at the event.
During last season’s Stanley Cup playoffs, Quetta served as the Boston Bruins fan banner for Game 1 of the second round series of the playoffs against the New York Islanders at TD Garden.
He was also named Honorary Captain of the 2021 Boston Bruins-Mia Sports Athletic Award.
