Sacramento – The Warriors were very clear: Andre Iguodala won’t be playing all 82 games. His first night came in Game Three of the season, Sunday against the Kings.
Iguodala, 37, continues to bruise his left thigh sustained after a severe fall in the final quarter of Thursday’s Warriors win over the Los Angeles Clippers. Illness kept him out of training on Saturday and prevented him from playing the next night, but coach Steve Kerr said he expects Iguodala to be available again by Tuesday, when the Warriors head to Oklahoma City.
“It’s more of a precaution than anything else,” Kerr said before a tip-off on Sunday. “If he’s in soreness or pain and it’s a good time to give him a break, we’ll do it. We want him healthy and in a good place below the playoff stretch and in the playoffs.”
