Wassar’s Palmer Gallery will host an exhibition of digital art created by college web designer Chris Silverman.
POUGHKEEPSIE – An exhibition of works by Visar senior web designer Chris Silverman will be on display at the College’s Palmer Gallery from September 30 to October 15. Photoshop using a custom brush. The exhibition is open to the public on September 30 from 5pm to 6:30 pm. The Palmer Gallery is located in the College Center in the main building of Wissar.
Silverman is a Hudson Valley artist, designer and artist whose work has been featured in the Chicago Tribune, Vogue, Net Magazine and Planned Parenthood. Silverman described the works at the show, created between 2015 and 2021, as “an exhibition of digital artwork that explores the intersection of order and chaos through themes of technology, faces, machinery, balance and abstract design.” she does.”
The show’s title is taken from Walt Whitman’s “A Noisy Sick Spider,” one of Silverman’s favorite poems, in which Whiteman describes a spider perched on a branch in the middle of a wide, open space. Which releases spider webs into the air. Hoping to catch everyone somewhere. Silverman said, “Whitman sees a parallel to how he lives his life, constantly exploring new ideas, trying to make connections, and trying to connect what he’s learned. And that’s how I work. “
“I’m impressed with the repetition: the tension between discipline, health and chaos, mechanical hardness and organic flow,” he said. “As a website designer, my professional work is at the crossroads of both – it’s a field where engineering is combined with art.”
Attendees must show proof of vaccination or negative PCR coed 19 test within three days of the event or negative rapid antigen test on the day of the event.
