The father of Virginia Joffrey, who is accused of Prince Andrew, says the prince is a “coward” for asking that the sexual assault lawsuit against him be dropped.
Sky Roberts accused Andrew of blaming his daughter as a victim after the prince’s lawyers filed papers in Manhattan last week listing a number of reasons why Geoffrey’s case against the infamous Blueblood should be thrown. I mentioned the mirror.
Geoffrey, 38, alleges that the Duke of York sexually assaulted her when she was 17 after she was trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein and Jessalyn Maxwell.
According to court documents, Andrew’s lawyers argued that Joffrey’s “unlawful conduct” was among the reasons for dismissing the case.
Joffrey’s father criticized Andrew’s argument, telling the outlet, “It’s a coward’s way of trying to blame the victim.”
Andrew, who denied all allegations of wrongdoing He also requested that a jury trial hear the case Court filings appear if he fails to drop them.
“He’s playing a game and he’s a cheat,” Roberts said. “He doesn’t have a strong hand. Do you think my daughter would want to go through these things?”
“No. She does it because it’s true. It’s ridiculous to say Virginia’s hands are unclean or that she has skeletons in her wardrobe or something.”
Joffrey sued Andrew in August last year, accusing the embattled royal family of abusing her at least three times – in London, New York and the US Virgin Islands – between 2000 and 2002.
In each case, Joffrey claimed that she was forced to engage in sexual acts with Andrew by millionaire Epstein and Maxwell, a famous British socialite.
Joffrey claimed that she “fears death or bodily injury to herself” if she disobeys her husband’s orders.
