Valerie Bertinelli files for legal separation from husband Tom Vitale: report

Valerie Bertinelli She is calling on her to end her second marriage, as she has reportedly filed for legal separation from her husband, Tom Vitale.

The Food Network star, 61, filed court documents in Los Angeles on Wednesday, formally asking a judge to end their marriage, which lasted nearly a decade.

Bertinelli and Vital tied the knot on New Year’s Day in 2011. However, the sparks appear to have fizzled, with “irreconcilable differences” listed as the reason for the split, according to her. TMZ.

According to the gossip outlet, Bertinelli asked the court that neither would get spousal support going forward because the former spouses had a prenuptial agreement to tie up any loose ends regarding how their assets were divided. They do not share any children together.

Vital was Bertinelli’s second husband.

She was previously married to Eddie Van Halen from 1981 to 2007. She and the late rock star welcomed one child, Wolfgang, now 30 years old, is best known for playing bass in his father’s band.

At the time of his death, Bertinelli vowed in honor of seeing Van Halen again “in our next life, darling”.

“40 years ago my life changed forever when I met you,” she wrote in part. “You have given me the only true light in my life, our son, Wolfgang.”


In August, Wolfgang said his father’s death was “still not real”.

“I’ve had a lot of dreams lately where Bob and I are doing normal things and then I realized it was a dream, stop what I’m doing and cuddle for as long as possible until I wake up,” Wolfgang captioned a bunch of Instagram photos at the time.

“I miss him getting out of it,” he continued. “I can’t believe he’s no longer here. I still don’t feel real. I’m doing my best, Bob.”

A Bertinelli representative did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
