Unofficially update your Android smartphone!

Ever since Google announced the arrival of the stable release of Android 12 and left the source code on AOSP, there has been a tinkering party in XDA. But unless you own a current generation device like the OnePlus 9/9 Pro or the Samsung Galaxy S21, there’s a good chance you’ll have to wait a few months for your OEM to arrive. Send the latest dessert to your phone.

But obviously, this is XDA, which has the largest community collection of custom ROMs and many other later developments. While OEMs are limited by a number of factors that limit their ability to provide timely updates, members of our community can do a great job in giving other fans a chance to try out the latest Android releases on their phones, right now! It is true that the initial work of developers working with insufficient (and often non-existent) government resources may not give us a big free room. But they highlight how we groups of like-minded people can achieve something great when they all put their minds to it.

With a large number of unofficial constructions of custom rooms based on Android 12, we felt it would be a good idea to index the devices for which Android 12 ports are available. Note that these are non-government constructions and. There will most likely be bugs.. Please read the first few posts of each attached thread so that you can know the current status of your phone before it flashes.

Note: In this article, we will only provide a link to the first Android 12 custom ROM that we come up with for a particular device. It does not serve as a validation of this particular construction, nor do we suggest that the work of others be ignored. We’re restricting what we link to to prevent this article from getting too long. Please check the XDA forums for your device to see if there are other, possibly more complete, builds available.
