University Hill Elementary evacuated due to Boulder police activity

University of Boulder Hill Elementary School was evacuated due to police dealing with a vaccinated person nearby.

Boulder Valley School District tweeted that it placed the school, 956 16th Street, on lockdown before deciding to evacuate students at BVSD Education Center, 6500 Arapahoe Street.

Boulder police have also evacuated several University of Colorado Boulder student and fraternity homes in the area. Evacuated students are required to go to University Memorial Centre, 1669 Euclid Ave.

According to an email, police are dealing with an immune suspect, and Boulder Police spokeswoman Dion Wu confirmed that police are trying to contact a wanted person in Building 900 on Broadway.

Police asked residents to avoid the area.

No other information was released about what was requested.
