Two Oaklanders convicted of Starbucks laptop robbery that killed engineer

Auckland – A jury has delivered verdicts for murder and manslaughter against two men involved in the December 31, 2019 laptop robbery that killed a research engineer in the Bay Area and sparked widespread outrage in its wake.

Byron Reed, 24, was convicted of second-degree murder in the murder of 34-year-old Xu Zeng, and Keiguan Wiggins, 20, was convicted of premeditated murder. Both men were also convicted of stealing his laptop.
