Towards a “Code Code” era: rebuilding development – web hosting | Cloud Computing | Data center

According to Gartner, by 2024, low-code application development will be responsible for more than 65% of app development activities.

In an earlier article we talked about GPT-3, its capabilities and limitations.. However, since the launch of Open AI’s GPT-3 and its ability to write code in any language, we’ve been amazed. Will the latest AI eliminate coding? Some time ago, researchers wondered if AI would be able to write code by 2040. With GPT-3, machine-coded coding is knocking on our doorstep here.

In addition to the rapid development of AI capabilities, there are other trends that make people think of future programming jobs – “no code / low code”.

“No code” refers to visual tools that make it easy for anyone to create new products, be they websites, designs, data analytics or models. They enable companies and professionals with minimal or no coding experience to create apps. WordPress, Wax, and Shopify are good examples of nocode tools that enable millions of people to work on their own instead of hiring a developer or designer.

Advantages of low code / no code approach.

– Enables faster development and later deployment.

– Increases developer skills and organizational agility.

– Can significantly reduce development costs.

The trend of low code / nocode is not limited to Dave Ops but is also rapidly becoming part of AI development in which growing companies have turned to nocode platforms for machine learning. Automation is fast approaching the tasks that scientists perform with every major cloud vendor that has invested heavily in some kind of AutoML initiative or not / low code AI platform.

It is assumed that the user only feeds the data, and the AutoML system automatically determines the approach that best performs for the particular problem and creates the ML model. The goal is to automate the entire AI workflow.

Concluding remarks

Low code / no code tools are definitely the future, a simple drag and drop will let people create magic. In addition to rapid development and deployment, low-code / no-code tools allow non-technical professionals to play development roles. As things become easier and more accessible on the Internet, more and more people become creators. It will consider mid-level skilled coders considering upgrading their skills, becoming experts in multiple low-code platforms, or becoming urban developers for a particular industry.
