The new video ad suggests that the Pixel 6 launch is imminent – take a look at Jack.
In August, Google surprised everyone by releasing a full teaser video for its new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones a month earlier than usual. Since then, however, we have only received small leaks and information as the inevitable release date is approaching. Now, Google has just dropped another Pixel 6 ad that says the phone is “coming soon”, but that’s about it.
Prior to this latest video, Google began running Pixel 6 commercials live on television in September, suggesting that its highly anticipated new phones are “coming in the fall of 2021.” At this point, it is clear that they are slowly approaching launch, but we do not yet know when these phones will arrive.
As you can see from the latest video above, which went live in Japan on October 1, Google’s Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are “coming soon”. Unfortunately, we are not learning anything new about phones, Android 12, or the release of these videos. Instead, Google can easily show users how to change the new Material U software, tamper with the phone, and have some fun.
Rumors are circulating about a possible release date, but most agree that an event or launch should take place around October 19 or 28. If so, expect to hear more from Google soon. In addition, we are still expecting a pixel fold shortly before the end of the year.
