The Masked Singer: Traffic cone exposed as aimless host by fans? | TV and Radio | Showbiz and TV

The Masked Singer UK is back with its third season on ITV and it’s already causing quite a stir among viewers on social media. Next week, the five remaining Masked Celebrities will compete, moving one step closer to the final. Over the weekend, Firework was revealed as Kidulthood actor Jaime Winstone and the raucous Donuts was none other than football legend Michael Owen. Since the show’s last appearance, fans have been convinced Traffic Cone is a meaningless host, which is why.

Reddit user TheOnlyNQC said, “To me, it’s obvious that Robobunny, Panda, Rockhopper and Mushroom are singers.

“So, I think this will be Traffic Cone, especially given the general comedy run of clues/his background during on-stage performances.

“I remember Back For Good was his base song and wondered if that song was referring to Alexander Armstrong, and the point of the ‘Pointless’ audition program is to score less, i.e. going backward rather than forward.”

They also noted that “no comedians have been revealed yet in Series 3.” (sic)

While another user PMay God have mercy on him 845 pointsTed: “There has to be at least one comedian.

“Some comedians who have good singing voices are Alexander Armstrong, Bradley Walsh, Lee Evans, Billy Bailey. I think he’s one of them.”

Traffic Cone’s clues so far have been that they want to be “The Greatest Showman”, have “different egos” and live a “double life” which could refer to Alexander’s radio and TV DJ show as well as his work in comedy.

The hidden star also said, “I’m often said to be a stand-up fella,” which could refer to his comedic roots.

The guesses from judges included Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan, Rita Ora, Jonathan Ross, Peter Andre, Rick Astley, Chris Camara, Michael Ball, Robbie Williams and Rob Brydon.

The flashy orange road cone, which impressed audiences far from its take on Take That Hit Back For Good, remains a fan favorite.

Other songs included When She Loved Me by Sarah MacLachlan and I Won’t Leave Rick Astley.

ITV viewers thought celebrities were shocked after comedian Rob Beckett dropped a huge spoiler on social media.

Rob’s tweet read: “Just send this as soon as I get revealed.”

He continued, “Thank you for all the support you have given me being a Traffic Cone game, I absolutely loved it. Great show.

“The kids couldn’t believe it was me.”

A comedy statement might put viewers off the scent but only time will tell.

Along with actor Jamie and football player Michael, Poodle has been revealed as lead singer Kane Tom Chaplin, Lunfish as Will Young singer, Bagpipes as tennis star Pat Cash, TV presenter Gloria Honeyford as Snow Leopard and Thunderare as singer Heather Small.

On Saturday, ITV audiences will see Robobunny, Rockhopper, Mushroom, Traffic Cone and Panda take center stage, but who gets to vote next?

The Masked Singer returns Saturday on ITV at 7 p.m.
