The iPad mini was reportedly redesigned to start this fall

Apple plans to release a new iPad mini that features “the biggest new design in their [its] Nine years of history, this fall, Bloomberg’s Mark German News (via) 9to5Mac). The new device is expected to feature slimmer bezels, a larger display, faster performance and a design similar to Apple’s new iPad Air from last year. Micromers Note This could be a huge shake-up for Apple’s smallest tablet, whose design has been significantly more permanent since its first launch in 2012.

The news is long BloombergPrevious reporting on the upcoming device, which states that last month could pull the home button to allow the screen bells to be tightened. Reports of the iPad Air-style design suggest that it could use the Touch ID sensor built into the side-mounted power button. Last year, analyst Ming Chi Kou predicted that Apple’s next iPad mini would have a screen size of 8.5 to 9 inches, with the length always set to 7.9 inches. Koo has previously suggested that in the future, the iPad mini could use a mini-LED display similar to the one we recently saw in Apple’s largest iPad Pro.

The new iPad mini will be the 6th generation of the tablet, with a new redesigned 2019, a faster A12 processor, as well as support for Apple pencil stylus. Along with the new iPad mini, Gorman also reports that Apple has another Apple Silicon-powered iMac with a larger screen than the current 24-inch model. The new device is reportedly intended to replace the existing 27-inch Intel-powered model.
