Douglas County, Colorado (KDVR) – The Spruce Mountain Road junction (Exit 173) will close Wednesday for two weeks as the Interstate-25 South Gap Highway project concludes. The Colorado Department of Transportation warns drivers to expect delays.
Night lane closed – Wednesday and Thursday, From 7 pm to 5 am, Friday from 8 pm to 5 am
Closure of one lane along I-25 going north and south, between Plum Creek Parkway and the memorial, for handrail repairs and excavation, handrail removal, leveling, traffic diversions, planning operations, paving works, paving operations, fiber testing, and pull-out marking in cases Emergency and barrier work.
Mount Spruce Interchange to be closed for two weeks – Wednesday around 10 pm Immediately after the reopening of Upper Lake Gulch Road on a slope to northbound I-25 and continuing for two weeks, crews will close the Spruce Mountain Road junction (Exit 173) for final paving and planning operations. This work is weather dependent and subject to change.
- To get to I-25 southbound to Larkspur, motorists must continue south on I-25 and use the I-25 south ramp off the ramp to Upper Lake Gulch Road (Exit 172).
- To get northbound on I-25, motorists must use the newly reopened Upper Lake Gulch Road on a ramp to northbound I-25 (Exit 172).
