Suffolk police say two brothers were killed in the Mount Sinai crash

Two Coram brothers were killed when the smaller 1998 Ford Mustang he was driving collided with a Jeep in Mount Sinai Thursday night, Suffolk police said.

Darius Jones, 16, was heading south on County Route 83. When he turned left on Guadalcanal, a Mustang and Jeep, driven by Alina DeMaria, 28, collided around 9:06 p.m., police said.

Jones was pronounced dead at Stony Brook University Hospital. His older brother Daryl Jones, 28, who was a passenger in the Mustang, was pronounced dead at John T Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson, police said.

Police said Demaria was treated at Stony Brook University Hospital for minor injuries.
