Strictly come dance Professional Amy Dowden shared a rare photo of her and her twin sister sharing a beautiful moment.
The Welsh dancer, who was recently eliminated from the 2021 series with her partner Tom Fletcher, is recovering after an outbreak of Crohn’s disease. Hurry up and go to the hospital over the weekend.
Amy, 31, was staying with Tom and his wife Giovanna Fletcher at the family home after they fell ill and recently thanked them for providing her with clothes and “toast,” while their children drew her “recover soon” cards.
And now Amy’s twin sister, Rebecca, has visited her.
When sharing a video of her sister braiding her hair with her 310,000 followers, Amy joked, “When your twin comes to visit…right on Sister Becky Dowden’s assignments.”
This rare insight comes after Amy gave a glimpse into the beautiful relationship she and her twins are having on their birthday.
Amy, in a tribute in August, said, “The best thing about my birthday is that I’m going to share it with my beautiful twin @becky_dowden! Who has always looked after me (even though I’m 15 minutes older), even though I’m bossy!!!
“Always put me first, let me win matches, travel across the other side of the world to be there for some milestone in my life, but I also sacrificed so much to help me realize my dreams!”
The visit would no doubt lift Amy’s spirits as Giovanna revealed on Good Morning Britain that she was getting better but was still in pain.
Explaining what happened, she said: “Tom was with her and Sarah Davis was with her, and they were out for a walk when it started, it was so bad that she had to get into an ambulance and then stay in the hospital.
“Since then everyone on Strictly is in bubbles so she can’t travel to the Midlands or Wales so she’s staying with us,” she added.
When Giovanna was asked how Amy was, she replied, “She’s good, she’s good. She sat on the sofa last night and the color went back to her cheeks.”
“She still has her hot water bottle but every now and then, you can see that she’s in pain.
“People with Crohn’s disease live with the pain but it’s good to see the pink coming back to her cheeks.”
