Detroit (CBS Detroit) – A stuck motorist was injured after he jumped out of a car, and collided with a moving vehicle on Interstate 94 in Detroit, according to Michigan State Police.
MSP tweeted that soldiers first encountered the man around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday Westbound I-94 On Moross Street. Officials say soldiers examined the man.who wouldn’t talk to them or roll over his window” and just gave them ‘thumbs up’.
An hour later, at about 8:45 p.m., a woman who was driving west reported that the man in the stranded car was opening his door. She began to slow down and move when she saw him “jump” and hit her car, according to MSP.
Police say the man, who is now considered a pedestrian, sustained minor injuries and was vigilant and talking to soldiers.
He was taken to hospital for evaluation.
