State Police: Woman dies after being thrown out of car in rollover crash on I-90 in Charlton – Boston News, Weather, Sports
Charlton, Mass. (WHDH) – State police have launched an investigation after a woman died in a rollover accident on Interstate 90 in Charlton on Friday afternoon.
Officers responding to a single-car crash on eastbound I-90 near the Charlton rest area around 4:13 p.m. found a 34-year-old Worcester woman who had been evicted from her car, according to state police.
The woman, whose name has not been released, was taken to UMass Lakeside Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
A young female passenger was also taken to UMass Lakeside Medical Center for evaluation. Police said she was not injured in the accident.
The entrance to the Charlton rest area was closed for about two hours while state police investigated the scene. Traffic flow on I-90 was not affected by the accident, according to state police.
The accident is still under investigation.
