‘sorry!’ Customers who get prepaid Thanksgiving meal orders find closed doors at Boston Market in Rancho Cucamonga – Press Enterprise

Customers who showed up at the Boston Market on Foothill Street in Rancho Cucamonga to pick up their prepaid meals on a hot Thanksgiving morning were in shock.

The restaurant doors are closed. A sign outside reads: “No staff attending today… We are unable to accommodate orders! We are sorry!”

Company spokesman Slatoon Smith said in a statement that Boston Market is investigating why this happened.

“We are in the process of refunding Thanksgiving orders to every guest who has been affected by our location in Rancho Cucamonga. We sincerely apologize to every guest who placed an order and came to the restaurant today,” he wrote.

Rancho Cucamonga resident Joseph Amato described the situation as “very disappointing”. He pre-ordered his meal last week and came to the store at 9:45 a.m. Thursday to pick it up.

“No email, nothing about anything,” Amato said. “And there’s food sitting there, food sitting in the van on the side, just waiting to see if someone will turn up. Now everyone is here without food.

“I really wish I could calm down this Thanksgiving and not have to make a whole family dinner,” he said. “Now I have to find Plan B.”
