(NEXSTAR) – Singer Shakira posted on Instagram this week that she was attacked by a couple of wild boars in Barcelona while she was with her 8-year-old son.

On Wednesday, the Colombian pop star posted a series of stories on Instagram detailing a boar attack that occurred while she was walking through a park. BBC News reported that the two animals broke off her bag and ran into the woods with her.

Later she recovered the bag that had been torn.

“Look how the wild boars that attacked me in the garden left my bag,” she said in a video clip on her Instagram story. “They were taking my bag into the woods with my mobile phone in it. They destroyed everything.”

According to the BBC, she then looked at her son and said: Milan is telling the truth. Say how your mother stood up to the wild boar. ”

Wild boars are becoming a growing problem in Europe, according to BuzzFeed. In 2016, the Spanish police received 1,187 phone calls regarding them.

According to Barcelona’s City Hall website, many wild boars in Collserola, a mountain range in Spain, are no longer afraid of people.

“Some of these animals are getting bolder and can even become aggressive,” according to a statement on the site.
