Samsung announced the Unpacked 2 event on Wednesday, October 20, after Apple and Google.
Samsung has just sent out invitations for the event to be held online on October 20 at 7 am PT / 10AM ET. It’s called “Galaxy Unpacked Part 2”, which is probably an indication that instead of all the new Galaxy phones, we’re seeing repetitions on existing phones.
With Samsung’s announcement, we will now have an Apple event on Monday (where we are expecting a new MacBook Pro), Google’s Pixel 6 will launch on Tuesday, and now Samsung’s seemingly small event on Wednesday.
In addition to the photo of the invitation, Samsung’s Newsroom Post, announcing the event, pointed to some kind of personalization for Galaxy devices: “Our customers are versatile and live in many colorful, exciting and unique ways. Thus, they should reflect the uniqueness of the technology they use every day. Join Galaxy Unpacked Part 2 on October 20 to see how new experiences for self-expression through Samsung technology. It could mean anything, but it seems to point to the new colors of the Galaxy phones or maybe even a completely customizable option. I can, for example, imagine creating a Z-Flip 3 with my own choice of colors on each side of the fold, and the teasing image can point to that. With the ZFold 2, Samsung gave customers the option to choose the color of their accent to capture, although this option went to the ZFold 3 (so far, anyway).
Of course, no customization program has come close to the original Moto X, allowing people to choose different color options and even content for their phones – including bamboo. It seems that Samsung is not ready to go that far.
Even more unlikely, the Galaxy S21 FE is a low-cost “fan edition” of the Galaxy S21 that has been rumored around for some time. This is unlikely, mainly because the S21 FE is currently in a state of numbness where it has been delayed or canceled due to lack of chip. Sam Mobile. Samsung is reportedly still considering launching the S21 FE in early January.
Regardless of what Samsung announced on Wednesday 20th, after all the storms of the last two days (Apple) and Drang (Google) it will be difficult to get attention. Although Wednesday’s choice may be Samsung’s strategic move to divert some interest from the Pixel 6.
Speaking of having a busy week, we have too. Of EntranceA 10-year event called On the Verge on Fridays and Saturdays.
