KLEIN, Texas (KTRK) – Fort Hood Pvt officials said. Jennifer Sewell has been found safe after being reported missing earlier this week.

On Sunday evening, around 7 p.m., leaders from the base said they were able to speak with Sewell’s family, who confirmed she was fine.

Officials say they are now in contact with family members while they await Sewell’s safe return to base.

“Pfc. Sewell is an important member of our team, and our number one priority is to ensure her safe return,” said the first lieutenant. Octavia Davis. “We are in regular contact with her family and will provide any assistance she and her family may need to get back to Fort Hood.”

according to press release Provided by the Fort Hood Directorate of Emergency Services, Sewell was last seen at the base leaving her position around 4 p.m. on October 7. Commanders from her unit reported her missing after she failed to show up for duty later that day.
