‘It’s been a long time,’ she said, ‘I feel weird, but I’m so excited. There is one there that is especially personal, called Lay Your Hurt On Me… which I wrote for my friend Daniel who passed away of cancer, and my little dedication was to write a song and put it on the album so that his memory would last a lifetime.
“Coming back after such a long time is nerve-wracking, you think it would be easier, but I’m getting more and more nervous. It’s so exciting, I feel so lucky to be back.

I just love music, I grew up with it, it’s my whole life, that’s what I want to do and everything I love to do. It’s so special for me to be back at work.
However, when asked about rumors of a S Club 7 reunion, Joe was very silent, saying, “There were no meetings, no plans… There were no official talks about us doing anything else.
Everyone else is really busy with their own life doing their own projects and raising their kids. Who knows what will happen in the future, I wouldn’t rule anything out. I’m back now and definitely don’t want a 16-year gap before new [album]”.

Failed career: Despite being part of one of the UK’s biggest bands in the early 2000s, Joe’s debut solo album only reached #48 in the charts when it debuted in 2005
Despite being part of one of the UK’s biggest bands in the early 2000s, Joe’s debut single album only reached #48 on the charts when it debuted in 2005.
The singer took a breather from the spotlight after being at the center of celebrity Big Brother race disagreements with Jade Goody and Danielle Lloyd in 2007, when the trio were accused of racist and bullying behavior towards fellow contestant Shilpa Shetty.
However, Jo is now back on the music scene with her first solo effort, and the star has also discussed recording the cover of S Club 7’s Don’t Stop Movin’ for NHS workers amid the Covid lockdown.
She explained, “On Thursday we would go out and clap, and when I came in, I would take out the old karaoke and pack some songs. I’d get them to place their orders and I’d sing as much as I could just to cheer them up a bit.
It was the 20th anniversary of Don’t Stop Moving and I’ve always wanted to sing a classic S Club song and spin it in a completely different way… I’m really glad I did because everyone seems to be really enjoying he-she. It’s great to have it on the album because it says a little bit about where I come from.
