Account information is shared by Uncle Pane, who has shared information about Apple’s plans in the past. The upcoming series will be offered in 7,41mm and 45mm case sizes, according to a Laker post this week.
Until the Apple Watch Series 4, Apple offered 38mm and 42mm case sizes. With the Series 4 in 2018, which also included a larger display, the case sizes grew with the 40mm and 44mm options, replacing the old size. One of the salient features of the Apple Watch that has moved every generation forward is that it is compatible with older Apple Watch bands.
Since Series 4, all Apple Watch Bands have been compatible in every generation for the same case size. According to Laker, it will still be with the Apple Watch Series 7, allowing bands designed for 40mm and 44mm Apple watches to work with the new 41mm and 45mm sizes.
The increase in case size is not entirely surprising, as the upcoming Apple Watch is expected to have smaller bezels and a flat-edge design, which will allow for a larger surface area of the display.
Aside from the latest Flat Edge design with a larger display, the Apple Watch Series 7 will be offered in a new green case color, according to Apple Laker June Prosser. The processor shares images similar to the upcoming Apple Watch in early May.
The Apple Watch Series 7 is expected to be announced alongside the iPhone 13 at the Digital Apple event next month. In the coming months, other new products we’re looking forward to include the new iPad, updated AirPods, an advanced Mac mini, and the redesigned MacBook Pro.
