Ronaldo and Mendes present Man City’s plan to Juventus

Manchester City are becoming an increasingly realistic proposition for Cristiano Ronaldo, if they can agree a swap deal with Juventus for Bernardo Silva.

Agent Jorge Mendes flew unexpectedly to Turin this afternoon in a private plane headed directly to Ronaldo’s home.

He is reported to be present to conduct emergency negotiations with the player, present options, and then pass on these developments to Juventus.

Paris Saint-Germain is looking for another place even if Kylian Mbappe leaves for Real Madrid, so Manchester City is the only real alternative.

It is widely reported that City will not pay the asking price of €30m, but it could be open to a player exchange, if they can agree on the man in question.

Juventus would be interested in Gabriel Jesus, although Bernardo Silva might be a more likely name on which both could reach an agreement.

Manchester City are open to this now that Harry Kane has announced that he will stay at Tottenham Hotspur.

Sky Sport Italia reports that the Premier League champions will also only offer €15m per season, nearly half of their current pool in Turin.

With a transition deadline of August 31, it gives them little time to work out the details of such a large operation.

Ronaldo is 36, but he won the Capocannoniere title last season with 29 goals in 33 Serie A matches.

Times Sport also confirmed reports earlier in the week that Ronaldo and his agent Jorge Mendes are trying to push for a Manchester City move.
