Road Warriors ride to support mental health cause – WSVN 7News | Miami news, weather, sports

Marathon, Florida. (WSVN) — A small group of marathon veterans left this morning to participate in a week-long motorcycle trial in support of a therapeutic cause.

The Wounded Warrior Project’s Mental Health Program, sponsored by Harley-Davidson, aims to support veterans recovering from PTSD and TBI.

US Air Force veteran Bill Thomas said, “It’s just you, the machine and the road, and it really allows us to lower our anxiety, lower our stress, camaraderie works a lot and the things we learn while in Project Odyssey.”

The group walked to the Harley-Davidson dealership in Cutler Bay during Tuesday’s trip.

They have more events this week at Veterans Memorial Park in Big Pine Key and an event in Key West.
