RIL, banks raise Nifty above 18,000 for the first time; Sensex get 250 points

Live market update: Nifty50 reached record highs on Monday, rising above the 18,000 level. The 50-pack index traded 95 points higher at 17,990. Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex rose more than 255 points to 60,314.

Shares of Reliance Industries came off intraday highs, but were still up 1 percent on the back of the acquisition of the full stake in REC Solar Holdings. stock It debuted on the fixed stock market, trading at Rs 712 per share.

However, among sectoral indices, with the exception of Nifty IT (down 3 percent), all indices were in the green. The shares rose by 1952 shares and 1059 shares fell.
