Ricketts highlights Nebraska’s lowest-ever unemployment rate in the country

Lincoln – Today, Governor Pete Ricketts issued a statement following the news that the unemployment rate in Nebraska has fallen to 1.9%. This is the lowest rate recorded by any state since the Bureau of Labor Statistics began publishing monthly unemployment estimates for the state in 1976.

“Nebraska has the lowest unemployment rate of any state in history,” the Nebraska governor said. “The record rate is a sign of strong job growth, successful re-employment services, and extraordinary economic resilience. Nebraska has plenty of great-paying career opportunities for anyone looking to enjoy the good life!”
