Ravenha drops transfer hint amid Liverpool speculation

Liverpool have been linked with a move for a group of potential new strikers, and one has even given a hint about his future.

The Leeds striker has tended to move to Anfield in recent months, although speculation about his future has fizzled out over the past few weeks.

The Brazilian moved to Elland Road last summer from French club Rennes in a £17m deal and he has already impressed.

His form has led to rumors that the likes of Liverpool, along with Manchester United, might be interested in signing him this summer, although no reliable news has yet emerged with less than a week before the deadline.

Now the 24-year-old has given a hint about his future, suggesting a move away from Leeds is not likely to happen before the transfer window closes next Tuesday.

“I’m very happy here,” Ravenha wrote in Players Tribune. “Everyone welcomed me with open arms: Marcelo, the owner, the players, the machine, and the fans.”

“One of my friends sent me the song. I couldn’t fathom all of it, but getting my song is really a dream.

“All I was thinking about last season was playing against the busy Eland Road.

Ibrahima Konate is the only player Liverpool sign this summer.

The window closes in less than a week with a lot of great deals in the pipeline.

Liverpool’s rivals have strengthened significantly, to the concern of some fans.

“It was very difficult for me to get to the empty stadiums, because the fans were a huge part of what made me want to have the Prem.

“But to all Leeds fans, I want to say that until then I felt your love and affection. Honestly, I cannot describe in words how grateful I am for the way you welcomed me to the club.

“For the game against Everton last weekend, well, it was well worth the wait. That noise, man. It was just as I remembered it. It was everything I wish it had been.

“I really can’t wait to play against you again. You’ll cheer us up. We’ll put on a show. I’ll do my best to make you smile.”
