Quinn speaks publicly about Prince Philip for the first time since his death | News
The Queen has spoken publicly about the Duke of Edinburgh for the first time since his death in April.
She formally opened the new session of the Scottish Parliament in Holyrood this morning, and reported on the special place that was held in Scotland in the relations of the couple.
She told MSPs in the socially distant discussion room: “I have previously spoken of a deep and steadfast affection for this wonderful country, and of the many happy memories I always have with Prince Philip in our time here.
“It is often said that people make a place, and there are few places where this is more true than in Scotland, as we have seen in recent times.”
