This opening offer was turned down by PSG, but after having previously been held back by Real Madrid, the Parisian club has finally shown its willingness to negotiate.

The report states that Real will have to raise their bid to 171 million pounds (200 million euros) in order to have a chance to complete the signing before the August 31 deadline.

Mbappe joined Paris Saint-Germain from Monaco in August 2017 on an initial loan deal, which became permanent for a fee of £160 million (€180 million).

He went on to score 112 goals in 122 appearances for the club and formed a killer partnership with Neymar up front.

However, with his contract running out and Messi arriving at the expiration of his contract with BarcelonaMbappe’s future has become even more questionable.

Mbappe came close to joining Real twice in the past, having tried at the club as a 13-year-old in 2012 and almost opted to join him from Monaco instead of Paris Saint-Germain.
