Paris Saint-Germain has Liverpool and Tottenham stars in the shortlist for Kylian Mbappe’s four-man replacement | football | sports

Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo has drawn up a shortlist of four players containing potential replacements for Kylian Mbappe, according to reports. With the 22-year-old able to leave Paris Saint-Germain within the next 12 months, the Ligue 1 giants are eyeing a new star to replace him.

Earlier this week, Leonardo confirmed Mbappe’s desire to join Real Madrid after the Spanish club’s opening bid of £137m.

He said, “Kylian Mbappe wants to join Real Madrid and we will not block him. We said no to Madrid’s first offer, but if our conditions are met, we will see.”

Paris Saint-Germain has already enjoyed an incredible transfer period in terms of income, welcoming five top-tier players to the Parc des Princes.

Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Georginio Wijnaldum, Achraf Hakimi and Gianluigi Donnarumma all join Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.

This summer, Ronaldo was too tightly tied With Juventus out and could jump ship if a suitable bid arrives.

The Portuguese icon who has been linked with Messi in the same attack is the stuff of dreams but could become a reality if Leonardo decides to make a move.

With Salah’s future also up in the air, PSG are keeping an eye on the status of his contract at Anfield.

His contract with Liverpool expires in 2023, and he has yet to extend the term, which could give suitors hope of a move in the future.

Meanwhile, Kane has confirmed that he plans to stay at Tottenham this season after his much sought-after move to Manchester City did not come to fruition.

Should Mbappe leave next summer, PSG could approach Daniel Levy, who would likely be more willing to sell his most valuable assets to a foreign club rather than a direct rival in the Premier League.

Based on this report, Leonardo has a clear plan on when Mbappe will inevitably leave the club this summer or next.

Any of the four options on his shortlist would add quality to the Parisian offensive line.
