The past two years have been good for electric car startups. With Tesla’s stock prices and sales soaring, goodwill around the company spread to any young competitor, no matter how far away they were from delivering their first car.
But now is the time for the next generation of electric car makers to follow through with the hype. One, Rivian, has already begun to deliver. Another company, Lucid Motors, plans to do so soon. However, both companies, and many of their peers, have had growing pains.
