Bridgeview, Illinois – Robert Perrick and Federico Navarro scored as lowly Chicago Fire beat New York City FC 2-0 on Wednesday night to claim their first win in a month.
Gabriel Slonina, 17, managed two saves to claim his first win, second in a row, and third in five games for Chicago (7-15-6).
Peric scored in the second half, three minutes after the start of the second half from Alvaro Medran. Navvaro scored his first goal with fire in the 66th minute.
New York City dropped to 11-10-6.
The game was played at Seagate Stadium, the home of the Fire from 2006-19, because the NFL’s Chicago Bears play Sunday at Soldier Field.
