The iconic preliminary round is back, with a video clip featuring new captain Daisy May Cooper and singer Anne Marie performing in Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall.
Unfortunately, their attempt to create the beginning of a standout song doesn’t go smoothly, and leaves new host Greg Davis in hysterics.
The episode also features regular guests Jamali Madix and Nish Kumar, who were on Noel Fielding’s cast.
Buzzcocks It returns for eight new 45-minute episodes, plus a Christmas special.
The musical show initially began in 1996 with Mark Lamar, Phill Jupitus and Sean Hughes as team leader. Simon Amstel later took over hosting duties, creating memorable moments like his feud with Towers of London singer Donny Tourette, and causing regular singer Preston to walk out of the group.
After he left, a number of guest presenters took the seat before comedian Rod Gilbert stood up for his last series before the cancellation.
The great british bakes Host Noel Fielding joined as captain in 2009, replacing him Strictly come dance Winner Bill Bailey. He’s the only star to go on to star in the rebooted show while on the move to Sky.
Sky’s director of arts and entertainment, Phil Edgar Jones, previously described the show as “one of those truly iconic shows,” adding that the comeback was “a buzz and a reward for buzzing fans everywhere.”

“Musicians, stop, we hear your deafening cries for some long-awaited attention.”
