Nest Doorbell gets holiday ringtones, and they’re actually free this year – Review Geek

Nest door bell (battery) in white.

As in previous years, Google is developing five holiday ringtones for Nest Doorbell products. But this time there are some important changes; not only are the ringtones absolutely free, but they will actually run indoors on your Smart Speaker or Nest Hubs.

New holiday ringtones cover Christmas, Quanza, Hanukkah and New Year. You can hear every ringtone in Google’s official video, which is available below. (There’s also a normal gray ringtone, but unfortunately, Google didn’t include it in its preview video.)

You can add holiday ringtones to your Nest Doorbell with the Google Home app, although if you have an older model of the doorbell you may need to use the Nest app (if so, settings – Go to Device Options – Door Bell Themes). When guests ring your doorbell, they will hear the ringtone, and for once, Google will actually let you hear your ringtone indoors, using the Visitor Announcement feature.

Again, Nest Doorbell holiday ringtones are absolutely free this year. They don’t need a Nest Aware subscription, so go ahead and set up yourself now. Remember that these holidays will disappear on January 4.
