LISLE, Illinois – Three people were killed in a two-vehicle crash in Lisle early Saturday morning, according to police.
Police said officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Warrenville and Navstar Drive at about 1:18 a.m. when they discovered a seriously damaged vehicle with a seriously injured driver inside.
The driver, an Aurora man in his forties, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second car was occupied by three people and fell 200 yards from the scene, and caught fire.
One of the passengers, a Naperville man in his twenties, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Shorewood woman in her twenties was the passenger in the back seat and was badly injured after the accident. She was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the second vehicle, a Naperville man in his 20s, was also taken to Good Samaritan Hospital and is in stable condition.
The incident is still under investigation by Lisle Police and DuPage MERIT’s main reconstruction team.
