Delaware State Police are investigating a three-car accident that killed a Philadelphia man on Monday, officials said. The fatal accident occurred at approximately 5:15 a.m. heading north on Interstate 95 in the left lane north of the Christiana Road lane.
The accident resulted in the death of a man after the car, a 2017 Toyota Camry, spun out of control and collided with two different cars. The passenger Camry, 27, from Philadelphia, was taken to a nearby hospital and eventually pronounced dead, according to the statement. The police have not yet revealed the identity of the victim.

Police say the accident began when two men — both 27-year-olds from Philadelphia — traveled north on I-95 in a Camry.
As the two passed north of Christiana Road, the car entered a slight bend in the road, sweeping the concrete barrier in the middle of the road. Police say that as the Camry continued traveling into a hole in the fender, the left front bumper hit the damper, spinning out of control and settling in the middle of the road with obstruction damage.
Shortly thereafter, a Honda Civic driven by a 59-year-old woman from Baltimore, Maryland approached a disabled Camry on the road. Its front bumper hit the passenger side of the Camry, restarting the car. As a result, the Civic rolled onto the right shoulder and settled on the railing while the Camry was pushed north and sat between two left lanes.
Several minutes later, police said a 2020 Freightliner tractor operated by a 41-year-old man from Randallstown, Maryland approached the scene in the center left lane. The right front of the tractor hit the rear of the left car, forcing the car to move before settling on the right shoulder against the guardrail.
