PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — A mother of four is fighting for her life after being shot at a home in southwest Philadelphia early Thursday morning, according to Philadelphia police. The call came at about 2 a.m. in Building 1100 of South 56th Street.
The department said that upon their arrival the 33-year-old woman was infected in an upstairs bedroom. Officials said she was shot twice in the back.
The four children were home at the time of the shooting, in which a one-year-old girl was taken to hospital with what officials described as a scratch on her stomach. Police are not sure if the wound was from grazing. The oldest child is 11 years old.
Police tell CBS3 that there is currently no motive or suspect in the shooting, and they are currently interviewing potential witnesses.
Authorities are looking for private security cameras in the area.
