Moses J Moseley, who starred as one of Michonne’s zombies in hit series The Walking Dead has died at the age of 31, with surrounding circumstances his death currently being investigated
Actor Moses J Moseley has died at the age of 31 and police are investigating the circumstances of his death, it is reported.
A family member told TMZ the star was found in the Hudson Bridge area of Stockbridge, Georgia.
They said they hadn’t head from Moses in several days and a call around all local hospitals didn’t provide any further detail of his whereabouts.
On Wednesday, after filing a missing person’s report, they are said to have contacted OnStar, which tracked his car and led them to his body.
The outlet says there is an active investigation into how the actor’s body ended up in the area.
It’s thought he died of a gunshot wound, but investigators are said to be looking into the incident.
His manager, Tabatha Minchew released a statement saying: “He was loved by everyone who met him. Such a bright light in everyone’s eyes.”
Moses starred on The Walking Dead between 2012 and 2015 as one of Michonne’s zombies that followed the character around.
He also featured on other hit shows such as HBO’s Watchmen, while on the big screen he played a role in the 2013 film The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
Following the tragic news of his death, tributes poured in for the star.
One fan on Twitter wrote: “That’s so sad. My condolences to his family, and to our #TWDFamily. He was such a sweet guy.”

A third penned: “Such sad news has hit twd family face with cold sweat saddened to hear about the passing of Moses J. Moseley much love to his family and loved ones #TWDFamily”
And a fourth wrote: “I will miss you my friend. Rest In Peace,” as another added, “I’m at a loss! This one really shook our Walking Dead family!”
The Walking Dead’s official Twitter page also posted a pic of Moses alongside the caption: “Our thoughts and prayers are with our #TWDFamily member Moses J Moseley.”
