Montrezl helps Harrell Wizards beat Celtics, 116-107 – Boston News, Weather, Sports

Boston (AFP) – Montrezel Harrell scored 25 points on a 10-of-13 shot and scored 11 rebounds in the Washington Wizards’ 116-107 win over the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night.

Spencer Dinwiddie added 22 points and Bradley Beal 17 points for the Wizards. They opened the season 3-1.

Jason Tatum scored 23 points for Boston, Dennis Schroeder added 22 points and Robert Williams III had 13 points and 11 rebounds. The Celtics have won back-to-back road matches.

Washington center Daniel Gafford had to be helped off the field and was brought straight into the locker room halfway into the second quarter and never came back. The team had a correct contusion to the quadriceps muscle.

The 6-foot-10 Gafford collided with Boston forward Jaylene Brown and fell to the ground, grabbing his right leg out of bounds from the Boston bench. Brown immediately grabbed his right knee but remained in the match.

In contrast to Boston’s opener when first-year coach Im Odoka said the Celtics had “taken a beating” after a 32-point loss to Toronto, Boston rebounded after trailing by 15 points midway through the third quarter.

The Wizards drove one halfway to fourth before running 8-0, with Aaron Holiday picking up three of the four baskets.

Washington had a 10-point advantage three and a half minutes before the end of the game, but Boston trimmed it to 108-105 over Schroeder 3. Both Bell and Dinwiddy had a basket to put away.

The scoreboard in the arena Boston earned two extra points for about three minutes in the final quarter. In fact, he said: Boston 96, Washington 95, until it was changed just over seven minutes ago, throwing away the two points.

interesting spot

Tatum rode an exercise bike that was sitting next to the fans in highchairs behind a basket of Celtics bench seat, trying to stay loose when he exited the game. At one point a fan walked down the aisle, put his phone in “selfie” mode and started taking a picture with Tatum in the background but security told the patron to leave.
