“Missed opportunities” in the fight against climate change put Canada last among the G7 nations, the commissioner’s report says

Jerry V. DeMarco, Commissioner for Environment and Sustainable Development, released a report on Thursday on his findings on Canada’s fight against climate change. DeMarco said Canada was once a “leader” in the fight against climate change, but “missed opportunities” now put Canada last among the G7 nations. He added that “reporting on actions to achieve federal goals was poor,” adding that “they did not report results for nearly half of their actions.”
