United appoint Ralf Rangnick as interim manager
United have reached an agreement to appoint Ralf Rangnick as their interim manager following the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Rangnick agreed to a six-month deal to run it United Until the end of May, before moving to a club advisory position for an initial period of two years. It is understood that Rangnick has been offered a role at United for next season.
It is understood that the 63-year-old turned down an initial contract offer from United but agreed to become the club’s interim manager after receiving and accepting new terms.
United have announced their intention to appoint an interim president until the end of the season after they split from Solskjaer last weekend with Rangnick identified as the main candidate following the interview process.
