MBTA makes repairs at Savin Hill station after metal fell near Rider – CBS Boston
BOSTON (CBS) – The MBTA is investigating why a piece of metal fell from the stairs at Savin Hill Station. A WBZ-TV viewer shared photos of the damage, saying it nearly hit a passenger at the station.
MBTA said the metal came from a panel under one of the concrete steps. Other panels at the station have been checked and minor repairs made.
The engineers said the ladder is safe and structurally sound, but they don’t know why the board fell.
