Marina Wingrove has broken her silence after the death of the Gogglebox star and her best friend, Mary Cook.
The 92-year-old passed away at the weekend surrounded by her family.

Marina admitted that she is still coping with the devastating loss.
She addressed a short salute to her best friend, saying that she was “very sad”.
The 76-year-old added, “I’m a bit upset right now. I don’t really want to talk about it.”

On Twitter, one wrote: “Hey Marie, you’ll be sorely missed, I’m so glad we got the series to remember your laughs. Poor Marina I hope there are people around to help her cope with the loss of her best friend.”

Gogglebox announces the death of Mary Cook
Yesterday (23 August), Channel 4 took to social media to announce Mary’s death.
Along with a photo of Mary and Marina on the show, the announcer shared a touching tribute.
They wrote: “We are deeply saddened that Gogglebox star Mary Cook has been hospitalized this weekend at the age of 92 with her family at her side.
“Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and dear friend of many, Mary, who worked in the hospitality trade, was married and widowed twice.”
The statement continued: “Mary will be deeply missed by the entire Gogglebox family, cast and crew. Our love and thoughts are with Mary’s family, friends and Marina.”
“The family has asked for privacy at this sad time.”
Marie and Marina made their debut on the Channel 4 program in 2015.
Known for their good sense of humor, the pair have had viewers in hysterics over the years.
