Manchester United fans respond to Saul Niguez loan reports

Manchester United have been linked with the transfer of Spanish midfielder Saul Niguez on loan.

The news was reported in a Spanish newspaper as And Watchman.

Watchman Report: “Atletico are ready to allow Sal to leave on loan for a season before the transfer window closes next Tuesday.”

Chelsea are said to be interested, and there is also allegedly strong interest from Manchester United.

tied every summer

Saul is linked with United every summer but this time there seems to be a chance of a deal.

Rather than being overrated, Saul on loan seems too good to say he refuses.

Saul was no longer a favorite in midfield at Atletico and had to play wide on the left flank.

This will be an opportunity for United to buy low from the 26-year-old, who has made 59 Champions League appearances so far in his career.

Saul is not the destroyer of a typical defensive midfield as many United fans would like, but he does have fighting traits in his game that will benefit the team.

Last season, he made 52 tackles with Atletico, the same number that Aaron Wan-Bissaka won in the Premier League. Only Fred (55) managed to achieve more with United.

Saul made 54 touches in the opponent’s penalty area last season. That was more than Scott McTominay (36) and Fred together (17), who accumulated for 53.

on loan

United’s preferred move might be to invest in a player like Ruben Neves or Yves Bisoma in a permanent deal.

But one of the reasons United were tied up over a third major deal was a lack of funds, due to the inability to sell players.

Saul’s loan appears to be worth the risk, and financially able to do for United at this late stage.

There’s always the possibility that the United name has just been used, and it could reach somewhere else, so don’t stray too far.
