Man City fans believe Jack Grealish has dropped a hint of a move with Phil Foden getting involved
Manchester City fans love the burgeoning friendship between transfer target Jack Grealish and his “little brother” Phil Foden.
City Interested in signing? Grealish This summer, at a cost of around £100m. After two impressive seasons in the Premier League with Aston Villa, Grealish has continued his form with the England squad at Euro 2020.
A key choice from the bench with assists to his name, Grealish has proven his quality on the bigger stage, showing City what they could do if he joined.
Grealish appears to be popular among England players, and has been seen flirting at various points with City players including Raheem Sterling and Foden.
And, of course, those bonds were strengthened on Wednesday as England reached their first European Championship final with a victory over Denmark at jubilant Wembley.
And after the match, Grealish posted a video of him and Foden enjoying the moment with the caption: “My lil bro” and a heart-shaped emoji.
It’s no surprise, then, to see comments full of City fans hoping Grealish and Foden can play together for the Etihad next season, with some joking that the post was a confirmation that he will transfer clubs this summer.
Grealish was substituted in the second half against Denmark, but was unusually substituted in the second period of extra time, after Harry Kane put England ahead.
Explaining the decision, Gareth Southgate said: “In the end, Raheem caused so many problems and it was so hard to play all night that it had to be Phil or Jack to get out.
“We made that decision, it’s not an easy one but he totally understood it and in the end he said ‘Hey Gaffer, I’m not really upset that we made it to the final! “
“But I have to say I thought he had the effect we were looking for when he got into the game.”
