Lowell, Massachusetts (AFP) – A 22-year-old man has been charged with murder following a fatal shootings last month in Lowell.

Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan said Friday that Wesley Lindor was arrested earlier in the day and charged with murder and firearms.

Witness interviews, surveillance footage and forensic evidence helped them connect Lindor to the shooting death of 30-year-old Stedman Tucker on October 22, according to a press release from Ryan’s office.

Tucker was found in the passenger seat of a passenger car after several 911 calls that reported the shooting on Parker Street. He was taken to Lowell General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Lindor is being held in custody and is due to return to court in December. It was not clear on Saturday whether Lindor was represented by a lawyer.
